Kalsie currently uses square online booking to schedule any and all appointments. To schedule an appointment, simply go to booking and follow the online prompts given. You will be offered a few different options to schedule. Use your best guess as to what service will fit your needs. The service options are pretty self explanatory, so choose accordingly. Once you schedule, Kalsie has to go in and accept the appointment. At that time if the timing needs to be adjusted, Kalsie will contact you to make changes if needed.
Kalsie currently books out a month up to 4 months at a time. After the 4 month mark Kalsie closes her calendar. If you aren't able to schedule an appointment within the 4 month available time frame, square has a waitlist option that you can utilize. Once added to the waitlist, as soon as there is an open availability for the desired date, square will send you an email asking if you would like to schedule. You have up to 24 hours to respond before it is passed on to the next person on the waitlist.
The wait list is different than scheduling an appointment. The waitlist is only an option for if you don't see a time available and want to try for sooner than scheduling later past the available dates.
No, Kalsie currently does not offer walk-ins. Occasionally she will do an event that allows for walk-ins for that day specifically though.
You might be able to do a walk in with another artist at the shop she works at though. Call Main Street Tattoos in Butler at (913) 354-8198 for more information about if someone hs availability. Keep in mind that if the artists are busy they won't be able to answer the call, or return the call immediately.
On occasion we can accommodate for this. You would need to contact Kalsie directly and discuss the options available.
If it happens to be two to three people wanting to get matching tattoos, each person would need to schedule a separate appointment on Vagaro. You would need to find a day that has the option for each of you to schedule for that day.
If it is 4 or more, you would need to schedule a full day session then, and that would require a full day session payment of $1200.
The shop hours for Main Street Tattoos in Butler Mo will change occasionally. We have multiple artists in the shop and each one works on an appointment only basis.
Kalsie's hours are Tues-Friday 11am to 6Pm. She also has fluctuating schedule outside of those hours.
Yes, when scheduling thru Vagaro, Depending on which service you choose, you will be required to pay scheduling fee of $50-$200 (varies by service and piece) Non-refundable deposit to secure your appointment. The amount is determined by and can be higher based on the tattoo and the artist discretion. This deposit will generally go toward your first session of tattooing, your artist will let you know their specific rules on deposits. If you do not show or cancel your tattoo appointment, the deposit is forfeited.
Depending on your tattoo idea, it can sometimes be best to have a consultation before your tattoo. When scheduling, please fill out the booking form. You can submit with information about you tattoo idea. It covers most of the information that Kalsie will need to design your tattoo for you. For the most part, this has worked perfectly. Kalsie generally reaches out to clients if she needs more information about that tattoo idea.
For situations where you would like to start to work on a large piece, or would like to discuss in detail what you'd like to do, an unperson consultation would be required. Contact Kalsie directly to inquire about scheduling an in person consultation.
What to bring to your consultation:
Please be prepared for your consultation. Being prepared means bringing any reference material you may have (printed out) of your ideas, and images you like that have a similar “style” that you are looking to get. Also, bring CASH for your deposit. Basically anything that will help you get your idea across to
In most cases the answer is NO. Since we do primarily custom tattoos, Kalsie generally prefer for you to pick a style appeals to you and trust that she can will do something you love based on your idea. There is always time for tweaks and changes before you start tattooing but we have run in to some problems giving out drawings ahead of time and find that it is better to go over the drawing in person at the time of the tattoo so the artist is there to explain and interpret the “sketch” and how it will translate to a tattoo.
Kalsie also generally works on the next days appointment, the night before.
If you happen to need a little bit of reassurance about your appointment, Kalsie understands sometimes people need that and would be willing to accommodate. In that situation, please send kalsie a message and she will help you as needed.
We require 48 hours notice for cancelling or rescheduling appointments. It is hard for us to get someone in your spot with less notice and can result in the artist not working that day. Less than 48-hour notice can result in the forfeiture of your deposit and future appointments with that artist. We understand that sometimes there are extenuating circumstances and we will do our best to accommodate any changes that need to be made as far as scheduling. The more notice you can give, the easier it will be for all involved parties. We truly appreciate your cooperation on this, please respect our time and we will do our best to respect yours as well.
In the event of a life change that can not be foreseen, we can not allow for refunds for this either. Please keep in mind before scheduing, that under NO circumstance are refunds available.
When you show up for your appointment, You will be asked to fill out a consent form prior to anything else. Once the form is filled out, Kalsie will look over the form and then proceed to talk to you about your tattoo. Please bring your state issued id or another form of id with your date of birth and picture. Your should be on time, but if you are running late, please call us so we know not to mark you as a no show. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment we can not accomodate for this because Kalsie keeps a very tight schedule. IF you call ahead, Kalsie is very understanding and will help you reschedule with a NEW deposit.

Kalsie schedules appointments thru Square. On Square, you are given a few services to select from. Provided below is the list with a detailed explanation of each option to choose. NO. We do not accept credit cards at the time of service. The only time you can use a card is to schedule an appointment or to purchase a gift card.
At this time Kalsie is no longer tattooing anyone under the age of 18.
Cleanliness is very important to us. All of our tattoo supplies are single use and 100% disposable. We practice universal precautions, and everyone is required to be current on all Blood Borne Pathogen Precautions training. Having a clean sterile environment is one of the very most important aspects of tattooing. We all have family and respect ourself and our health above and beyond what is expected.
Tipping is a really nice gesture and are always welcome and appreciated. But, there are not hard and fast rules for tipping so use your discretion and do what makes you comfortable. If you had a great experience and you are happy with a job well done, it never hurts to show it. But it is NEVER expected.
No, sorry. We cannot tattoo you while you are pregnant or breast-feeding. If you happen to schedule and find out your pregnant, contact Kalsie and get your appointment rescheduled. She requires an 8 month wait to reschedule your next appointment.
Yes please! Eat plenty of protein and come well hydrated. Getting tattooed releases endorphins. On an empty stomach, these endorphins can lead to nausea. Light-headedness also can occur, so it is good to have your blood sugar up prior to getting tattooed.
Usually YES. In most cases, you will need an in person consultation so the artist can see what needs to be covered up or re-worked and can advise you on your options. Be prepared though, some tattoos are not easily covered up and we may suggest laser removal before the cover up process can begin. Kalsie will let you know if what you have is workable.
Yes it hurts, some places hurt more than others (sides and top of feet…ouch). The pain can vary even within the same tattoo and over different sessions. The best way to manage the pain is to relax, take deep breaths and don’t fight it. The more relaxed you are, the more manageable the pain.
Really all you need to do is keep it clean and hydrated. Kalsie uses a second skin bandage sometimes known as Saniderm, or Tegaderm. She advises that you keep this in place for the first three days. Linger if necessary. Kalsie will talk with you at the end of your session in more detail. After your remove your bandage, Wash Wash Wash your tattoo. Twice a day for the first 3 days. After that, wash normally and apply a non-scented lotion like Lubriderm to keep it hydrated. Kalsie may also send you home with an after care ointment you can see as well Keep your tattoo covered if you are going to any public place soon after you are tattooed. Remember it is an open wound. It will peel and flake like a sunburn and will look really ugly before looking pretty again.
Your tattoo will start looking healed in 7-10 days. It can take up to 4 weeks to be completely healed and should not be exposed to sun or soaked in water until after this time.
